Service Description

Heartland Day Camp Session Two for Ages 9 to 13 This forum is for signing up for camp and paying a $100 deposit. A remaining balance of $300 will be due on or before the first day of camp. June 19 to 23 Camp begins at 9 a.m. daily. Parents, please no early birds. Camp ends at 3 p.m. daily. please expect to stay for the first 10 to 15 minutes of camp on Monday to fill out paperwork. Heartland Camp is for anyone with a love of horses from age 9 to 13. Complete beginners are always welcome. Riders with prior experience also get ample opportunity to work on level-appropriate riding skills. For example, a camper who has never ridden prior to camp may do a given game at a walk or trot, while a more experienced camper may do the game at higher speed. Our trusty camp horses are all experienced with complete beginner riders and also trained to more advanced maneuvers. Heartland Sample Itinerary: Trail Ride Treasure Hunt Liberty work: The Join Up Pool Noodle Jousting Tournament Buckle Barrel Race Meet a foal workshop Mounted (water gun) shooting (balloons) Draft Horse Wagon Ride Picnic Pony Portrait photo shoot Cowboy Olympics feed race Horse Bath Bash Horsehair key chain keepsake Speedy Saddling Contest The Great Treat Experiment Horse First Aid Mock Scenario Friday awards showcase What is provided: Camp horses and all tack (saddles, etc) are provided. SEI certified helmets are provided if your camper does not have their own. Cowboy boots are available to be borrowed from the boot bin if your camper does not have their own. What to bring: Campers should pack a lunch and water bottle. A fridge and microwave are available. Closed toed shoes and FULL length pants are mandatory. Saddle leather is rough and will pinch or rub bare skin. 8 Campers Max. Two Lead instructors and two assistants attend each camp. Heartland Camp is headed up by Jessica Johnson who grew up horseback and holds a Bachelor's of Natural Horsemanship- Equine Science - from the University of Montana Western. Cancellation Policy

All payments are final. 5 days notice is required to reschedule your sleigh or wagon ride. Refunds are *only* issued if *the ranch* is forced to cancel or if there is a death in your immediate family. The ranch closes for the day if temperatures are not above zero by noon at the ranch. By booking, you are accepting responsibility to pay for your appointment. Please do not book a sleigh or wagon ride if you do not understand and agree to this policy. For Horse Course and camps, non-refundable deposit is due to sign up. Remaining balance is due on first day of
